A new hotel in an old place, we are in the middle of the picturesque village of Nes and only 10 to 15 minutes from the beach by foot.

The hotel has 34 comfortable rooms with a French balcony or a terrace. Furthermore, there is a sunny garden, plenty of parking space and bicycle rental next to the hotel.

This is a very pleasant area with shops, restaurants and bars around the corner.

The hotel is located on the beautiful Island of Ameland, in the middle of the village Nes and within walking distance of the beach. The interior of the hotel is contemporary and has a charming ambience. The hotel also has a beautifully decorated sunny garden and spacious car park.

Hotel Zeewinde only serve breakfast and a drink in the hotel bar. However there are many restaurants within walking distance of the Hotel. You can find menus and maps for the restaurants in the hotel lobby or you can ask one of the staff to inform you about the menus in the restaurants.

In the surrounding area, you can enjoy beautiful nature reserves and of course the beautiful sandy beaches.

90 km of cycle paths meander through a varied landscape, allowing you to choose a different route each day without retracing your tyre tracks . For those who prefer to wander, there are planned walks that take you through some of the island’s most beautiful spots.

Outdoor activities available include horse riding, sailing, fishing, golf, tennis and making parachute jump can be experienced to the full on Ameland. Ameland has much to offer for both active holidaymakers and those in search of peace and quiet!

The island's picturesque towns of Nes,Hollum and Ballum all have many nice shops and pleasant restaurants.

To reach the Island Ameland you need to take the ferry from Holwerd, managed by Wagenborg passagiersdiensten.

By bike or foot:

- From the ferry cross and at the roundabout, go straight on.
- Take the 2nd street left (Reeweg).
- Follow this road into the centre of Nes.
- In the centre, take the street next to the tower (Torenstraat).
- Follow until the end and follow the curve to the left.
- You will find the entrance of Hotel Zeewinde on the right.

By car:

- The centre of Nes is a pedestrian area, so you have to go around the centre.
- From the ferry, take the roundabout and go straight on.
- Take the 2nd street left (Reeweg).
- After 250 metres, where you are not allowed to go on, turn right.
- Keep left on this road and before the Restaurant De Drie Balken, turn left.
- Follow this road to the end and turn left.
- At the end of this road, turn right.
- After the curve to the left, you will find the entrance to the Hotel Zeewinde on the right.

Public transport:

- Take bus from the ferry and get off at stop Torenstraat.
- This is the 3rd stop in the village of Nes.

- Alternatively, take one of the taxis waiting for you at the harbour and ask for the special Zeewinde tariff.

Please note: the whole hotel is non-smoking from 1-1-2008

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later, the first night will be charged.
In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

All children are welcome.
All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
All older children or adults are charged EUR 17.50 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.
