Just over 100 years ago, a beautifully situated soldier’s cottage at Björknäs was converted into a home for the foreman of the lumber transport to the coast. The proud steamer of Lake Revsundssjön, the Alma, stopped regularly at the jetty. Björknäsgården Hotel is situated in the middle of Sweden, just by the E14 motorway between Sundsvall and Östersund.
It is just five minutes from the railway station in Bräcke, where you can catch an express train to either town.
There is one room where pets are allowed.
The Forsa trail: By river Forsaån you will find 1000 year old paintings and overwhelming natural surroundings. It is as if lagoons and waterfalls from the South Pacific had been dropped in the middle of the Swedish Pine forest. Walk the trail with a guide or just enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. We can even arrange picnic baskets.
Fly fishing on the Gimån river: Just a short walk from the Björknäsgården you will find the Gimån river where you can buy a fishing licence, or why not try the popular sport of ice fishing during winter?
Snow scooter safari: Come as you are, Wild Adventure will supply you with all the necessary equipment, including scooter, overalls and boots.
Canoeing on the lake and rivers: Discover the wilderness from a small and quiet river or a large lake.
Moose Garden: Meet a Swedish moose. Excursions can be arranged.
S/s Alma: Take a trip on the steamer Alma, which was built 1873.
Hotel Björknäsgården is situated close to the E14 in the middle of Sweden only 5 minutes from the train station in Bräcke. The nearest airport is on the island of Frösön, approximately on hour’s drive away, with connecting domestic flights to Stockholm. We can arrange your transfer from Frösön or Bräcke.

Cancellation
If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

All children are welcome.
All children up to 7 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children up to 2 years are charged SEK 150 per night and person for cots.
All older children or adults are charged SEK 300 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.
Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 2.
